Le Clos de la Voilerie is designed as a starting point to explore, walk, taste, paddle, watch the light change and come home in the evening with salt in your hair.
Wild beaches, coves, cliffs and the Pointe du Raz: the scenery changes quickly, often in spectacular light.
It is easy to head out for a few hours, between coastal paths, quiet roads, harbours and viewpoints.
a place rich in history
Built at the end of the 19th century, the house that is now Le Clos de la Voilerie was long an important place between Plouhinec and Audierne.
Built in 1869 by a wine merchant, it was first used to store barrels unloaded from the slipway in front of the property. The rings still preserved on the west façade recall the horses that carried them to the surrounding villages.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the building was taken over by the Donnard family, sailmakers. Workshops, family apartment, sailors’ bistro: the house has kept something of each chapter of its life.
our story
We are a sailing family. The sea is part of our daily life, our plans and the way we look at places.
When we discovered this former sail loft on the Goyen, we immediately loved its character: the stone, the light, the closeness to the harbour and that rare feeling of being both in a living village and facing the water.
Le Clos de la Voilerie was born from that desire: to create simple, comfortable and welcoming apartments, but above all apartments rooted in their landscape. A place where you come to sleep, of course — but also to breathe, watch the tides and leave with a real memory of Brittany.
